Sebastian Conner
Pastor of Connection & Students
Sebastian was born in Songtan, South Korea. His father was in the Air Force and they moved around to numerous places before settling down in Del City, Oklahoma in the year 2001. He graduated from Del City High school and then proceeded to get his Bachelor’s in Management Information Systems from UCO. After that, Sebastian worked in the corporate world for over 11 years before surrendering to ministry.
In October of 2017, Sebastian struggled with his salvation and lack of faith. There had been moments in his life prior, where he made decisions, but all of them were superficial prayers. It was during the response time of a Sunday night service when Sebastian knew without a doubt that he needed to fully surrender everything to God. From that moment on, things changed. The corporate world no longer was his calling as Sebastian surrendered to full-time vocational ministry. Leaving the corporate world behind and working as a Sports Director for the local YMCA, helped shape Sebastian’s calling toward student ministry and the families impacted through it. Since then, he has served as a High School/Discipleship pastor, Next Gen Pastor, and several other roles within churches. His passion for apologetics has helped him earn his Master’s in Apologetics from OBU.
Sebastian met his wife, Kara in the summer of 2013. They were married a year later (June 7, 2014), and now have 4 daughters – Alivia (2015), Sloane (2017), Ruth and Harlynn (2021).
Sebastian has a strong passion for helping challenge students to know their faith, take ownership of their faith, share their faith with others, and be prepared to defend it when the time comes.
Sebastian loves to read a variety of books, golf (disc and regular), and go hiking.
