Medical Missions

The Program

Our mission is to provide medical care to those who come to us and who have no other means of medical assistance. We are open every Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. except the second Monday of each month. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for returning patients and 5:00 p.m. for new patients. We currently have over thirty active volunteers, most of whom serve on a rotating basis. This number includes one D.O. two M.D.’s, four Physician’s Assistants, two Optometrists, several nurses, and medical assistants. We occasionally have nursing students from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and some interns from a local medical clinic who serve with us on a short term basis. Our services are limited only by a patient’s inability to receive medical assistance by some other means but not based on location of residence or income level. In order to receive an appointment, patients may call 580-924-8875 any time to request an appointment. Medication is provided as needed through the Patience Assistance Programs offered by Pharmaceutical companies as well as through a local pharmacy who provides medications to us at cost and a local free pharmacy. However, we will soon be opening our own First Baptist Church Free Pharmacy to serve the needs of our patients.
